Yes, you have a free speech right, but if you are paying attention to a slew of news reports regarding Delta and American Airlines and other companies and school districts who have disciplined, suspended or terminated employees for making “inappropriate comments” regarding the death of Charlie Kirk, the right-wing political activist, you must also know that it is not an absolute right.
Kirk was beloved in the Party of Trump, formerly known as the GOP, but he was no ideological saint. Like Trump, he saw market opportunity on the ideological right and effectively capitalized on it. He did not shy away from selectively using information for quick, hit-and-run points when debating. He was adept at cherry-picking the Bible, especially regarding issues of homosexuality, the role of women in society, and immigration, to name a few.
